TechSquare Labs is an incubator, seed fund and 25k sf of coworking and corporate innovation space. We are driven to Build Something From Nothing with companies ranging from two guys and a laptop to established enterprises looking to stay ahead of the pack. We do this by combining experience in patents, research, and team building with a network that spans from freshman coders to Fortune 500 CEO’s.
TechSquare Labs is in Atlanta for its incredible density of educational institutions, enterprises, and entertainment. Over 250,000 students call Atlanta home along with 27 Fortune 1000 companies that generate nearly a half a trillion dollars in revenue. The city drew in $6 billion from film production budgets in the last fiscal year alone. We have hung our hat in the middle of it all in Technology Square. In addition to a cluster of corporate innovation labs and startups, the area is swarming with tech talent from Georgia Tech – where more engineers graduate than MIT and Stanford combined.
TechSquare Labs was founded by Dr. Paul Judge and Allen Nance, two technology entrepreneurs with a track record of building, advising, and investing in successful technology companies.
Dr. Paul Q. Judge is a serial entrepreneur, scholar, and inventor. He served as the Chief Research Officer and VP at Barracuda Networks after they acquired Purewire, a cloud-based security company he founded. Dr. Judge has also served as the CTO for Secure Computing and CipherTrust and is the chairman of Pindrop Security and Monsieur.
As a seed investor he’s focused on funding and advising startups making the internet safe, useful, and more entertaining. His portfolio of a few dozen startups includes Bluebox, StarMobile, and Emailage.
Dr. Judge has spearheaded multiple research initiatives and founded the Internet Research Task Force’s Anti-Spam Research Group. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Morehouse College and earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.
Allen Nance is a technology fanatic and a proven fast growth leader. From a rented house in 2000 he founded a company that grew into one of the largest email marketing firms in the world, delivering billions of targeted messages on four continents in over 35 languages. As CEO he led WhatCounts to three Inc. 500 awards representing the fastest growing private companies in the United States.
Allen has focused his seed investing on e-commerce and marketing technology innovators including co-founding Springbot and helping grow omni-channel retailer Scrubs and Beyond.
Allen is an active blogger and speaker on topics ranging from culture to sales and marketing. He holds a B.S. in Economics from University of West Georgia and earned his M.S. of Technology from Georgia Tech.
